Latest updates:

We have once again spent a summer searching for a bigger replacement yacht but not suceeded this time either.

We have though learnt that it has to be something similar. RM or JPK basically.

But RM did not do a good job for us with the RM 1260/1270 or 1180. When RM or JPK will make the following boat we will revert to sales/buy mode:

LOA 11,99m (and no 1,2 m very narrow unwalkable bowsprit)

Width 4m

Mast height 18m

Draft 2m

Separate shower

New price well equiped max €300000.

which is probably never, at least price wise, so….

  • North Sails Code-0 G65 made for the same Profurl furler as the Jib0 and gennaker:

So we have invested more than €20 000 in the boat during the last years alone, in addition to all initial investments.

    End of update

History

Bought new by an english owner in december 2011. He mainly stored the boat on the hard in Portimao for 6 months during the winter and sailed the south cost of Portugal and to the Balearics in the summers.

We bought it in december 2018, as a replacement to our RM1050 no 69. Relaunched after update work in March 2019. Sailed to our home town of Nazaré, Portugal and did a lot of installations and updates.

Most of the electronics where reconfigured to Nmea2000 and updated. We also replaced all 6 (!) soft water tanks with fixed water tanks.

That Jefa had ready made drawings and could provide double wheel steering was a major consideration when buying the RM1060. So much better handling and control. Installed the double wheel steering in Nazaré.

Also added more solar to the very nice integrated stainless steel frame etc. The work continued in Sweden during autumn 2019 and summer 2020 so all traditional RM1060 faults are fixed and the boat is in excellent shape.  Look at specification side for more upgrades done.

Sailed the boat to our home marina in Gothenburg, Sweden during the summer of 2019. Here are some videos of this:

Boat is in Sweden, stored inside a hall in Gothenburg in the winter and on Bohus-Björkö nearby in the summer.
